LEADERSHIP AND RESILIENCE

The film primarily focused on a man who is known for his leadership abilities and resilience named Joe Louis Clark who transformed the lives of the children of Eastside High into something unimaginable.

Gang violence, drug use, and vandalism filled the halls of Eastside High , and students and teachers alike seemed resigned to the school's downward spiral. Then entered Mr.Joe Clark into the lives of these children as their new principal who entirely changed their attitude and way of living. Clark’s method of controlling the children seemed to be controversial and unpromising. Even his method was not liked by all the staff in that faculty.

He implemented strict discipline policies, including dress code and zero-tolerance approach to misbehaviour. He expelled nearly three hundred students who were deemed troublemakers and clashed with the teachers' union. Despite all the resistance from students and staff he was resolute on his mission to turn the school around. He inspired each and every student to learn and bring the best behaviour and education out of them. He entirely changed the thought process of each and every student in the school.

But Clark’s method of tolerance was put to question by his frustrated colleagues and parents. But his unconventional methods yielded promising results.

In the climatic scene, Clark rallied the students to improve the academic

performance which eventually led to a dramatic turnaround in the result of the students. His efforts finally led to the results and he was even praised by his fellow teachers and students.

"Lean on Me" is a compelling and inspiring film of leadership, resilience, and the enduring power of education to effect positive change. Through its powerful storytelling and memorable performances, the film continued to resonate with viewers and served as a reminder of the importance of hope, determination, and community.

This is a story based on the real incident and the character of Joe Clark was portrayed by Morgan Freeman in a commanding way.

The film overall portrays the leadership qualities and the resistance and resilience of Joe Louis Clark to transform the children for their better upbringing in an unorthodox and unconventional method.
