LEAN ON ME ( BATTLE OF ONE MAN )

 To be honest ,I didn’t have that much interest in watching English movies .I watched “Lean on me” because of my mam who suggested to watch this movie. I didn’t realize at the moment when she told that it was a nice movie. But I agreed to her now. When I knew that it was based on the real story of Joe Louis Clark , I was so so  wondered. The main subject of the story is Joe wants to save the school and restore it’s former pride.

Coming to the story, Mr. Clark who is the principal of Eastside High School. In the starting of the movie, there will be a song named “Welcome to the jungle” where this high school is compared to a jungle  because students bullying each other and harassing the teachers and get into violence and also taking drugs in tablet and also failed in Basic skill test.

       

I like the part when Mr Clark  dismissed the drug students from the school. And also he made the school students to learn the school song properly. He helped the student Kaneesha and her mother Mrs Carter by offering a job and place to live due to their financial problems. I like this line , “Ghosts are spirits that rise from the dead’’. He describes the student to be his  ghosts.

I like the song “Everybody is somebody ” .I also like the song “Lean on me” sang by the whole students together with Mrs Powers. They defined very well about all the characters in this movie except Kaneesha because she got pregnant in the middle .At the end of the movie they didn’t tell what happened to her. When Mr Clark was arrested ,I like there was a few second of silence when Mr Clark looking through the window ,that his students came to support him by reciting “Free Mr Clark” to release him.

I like the signature post of Mr. Clark when he came down from the stairs. They shot the scene nicely. Actually this movie was quite similar to the movie “Raatchasi (2019)” acted by Mrs Jyothika. However both resembles a moral “Students must learn the education” .I am sure this movie is worth to watch.

 "Lean on Me" is a very nice movie based on the true story of Joe Clark, a tough but inspirational high school principal who transformed a troubled school in Paterson, New Jersey. The movie portrays Clark's unorthodox methods and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his students. It's a gripping story of leadership, discipline, and the importance of education. "Lean on Me" is a phrase that conveys the idea of seeking support or assistance from someone else during difficult times.   It's 1967 Paterson, New Jersey. Innovative agitating teacher Joe Clark (Morgan Freeman) is transferred from the idyllic Eastside High School so the union can get a raise. Twenty years later, the school has become a rundown urban jungle. The school is ranked last in the state. 75% of the school must pass a minimum requirement exam or the state will take over. Frank Napier  was Clark's friend and fellow teacher at the school. As superintendent of schools, he hires Clark as the new principal.
